- To execute pre and post-repair tests, FixMyCrack will need your device’s passcode. If you opt not to provide it, FixMyCrack won’t be held accountable for any undetected faults due to restricted access.
- Time estimates for service completion are approximate, and while FixMyCrack aims to return devices within the estimated timeframe, unforeseeable circumstances may cause delays.
- Until all payments for completed services are cleared, FixMyCrack reserves the right to retain your device.
- As an unauthorized service provider, FixMyCrack’s repairs may void the manufacturer’s warranties. FixMyCrack won’t be held liable for this.
- FixMyCrack offers a 12-month warranty on all repaired devices. Should the replaced part fail due to no fault of your own, it will be replaced free of charge.
- Accidental damage to the returned device will invalidate the warranty, with FixMyCrack having the final say on warranty voiding.
- Post-repair, the device’s water-proofing or resistance cannot be guaranteed.
- Any disputes with FixMyCrack will be resolved through binding arbitration, thus waiving the right to a lawsuit.
- If your device is irreparably damaged due to FixMyCrack’s service, you’re entitled to a fully functional refurbished device of equal value. Payment for the repair service is required, and FixMyCrack is entitled to the damaged device.
- Data loss or corruption is solely your responsibility, and FixMyCrack isn’t liable for it. You’re advised to back up your device before availing FixMyCrack’s service.
- FixMyCrack is not responsible for any damage progression if your device was previously repaired elsewhere. Any signs of incomplete prior repairs will be reported to you when possible.
- Non-FixMyCrack representatives, including the manufacturer, opening the device instantaneously voids the warranty. If any issues arise post-repair, contact FixMyCrack immediately.
- Warranty may be voided if the device has prior liquid or water damage.
- These warranties don’t cover any physical or liquid damage to the device after the signing date.
- Due to the nature of electronic repair, FixMyCrack can’t identify some hidden issues in your electronic equipment and isn’t responsible for devices that are non-functional post-repair.
- By conducting a pre-checklist, FixMyCrack has tested the mentioned device functions. Functions not tested are not covered under warranty and will be fixed at your expense.
- Existing damage not fixed by FixMyCrack may void your warranty. For instance, if an expanding battery breaks the screen or if water damages a phone with a shattered back panel.
- Some devices may have damaged components that the repair process can aggravate. FixMyCrack will handle your device with utmost care, but sensitive components like FaceID or TouchID may lose functionality.
- A flat rate inspection/bench fee may be applied to your service. If you decline the repair quote, you’ll be required to pay this fee. This is £35 for phones and tablets and £50 for laptops.
- FixMyCrack operates independently from The University of Bristol, The University of The West of England, The University of Exeter, and The University.
- It is your responsibility to collect your device in a timely manner once notified that your device is ready for collection. FixMyCrack is not a storage service. You may be charged a daily rate if the device isn’t collected within 1 week of the service being completed if you fail to notify us of delayed collection. We’re happy to post the device to any UK address using a tracked and insured courier, at your expense.
- If your device is not collected within 1 month of being repaired without any reply or contact from you, FixMyCrack may part out, recycle or sell the device to help recover the costs of the repair. You will not be entitled to any refunds or reimbursement.
- FixMyCrack and its staff members have the right to refuse a repair if faced with abusive behaviour. If FixMyCrack staff is faced with abusive behaviour, your device may be returned to you in its unrepaired or disassembled state and any outstanding balances will still be owed.
FixMyCrack cannot be held responsible under any circumstances for Non-Operational devices after repair or attempted repair, or be held liable for loss of information such as phone books, calendars, ringtones, music, and all other end-user data during the repair process. I am responsible for making sure that any critical data is backed up before bringing my device to FixMyCrack and for providing copies of any licensed software if necessary.
- All of FixMyCrack’s refurbished devices come with a 12 month warranty, in which if the device fails with no indication of accidental damage, FixMyCrack will replace the device free of any additional charges.
- I understand that in cases where the returned device appears to have accidental damage the warranty will no longer be valid. FixMyCrack will have the final say in terms of voiding this warranty.
- I understand that following the refurbishment process any water-proofing or resistance cannot be guaranteed.
- I understand that these warranties do not cover any issues that are the result of physical or liquid damage to the device after purchase.
- I understand that if the device is opened or tampered with by a third part this will void this warranty.
- Devices come with a 30 day returns period. Refund will be sent within 7 days of us receiving the device back as long as the condition is the same as it was sold as. If the device is damaged deductions will be made.
BrisFix LTD, (“FixMyCrack”) is excited to offer a loaner phone to you while service is performed on your current phone (“Customer Phone”).
By taking possession of the equipment identified in section 1 (“Loaner Phone”) and signing this agreement, you agree to all the terms and conditions listed below:
1. Loaner Phone. You acknowledge receipt of the Loaner Phone listed below which at FixMyCrack’s discretion may be new or refurbished, and agree to return it to FixMyCrack (i) upon receiving your device or (ii) upon FixMyCrack’s written request to do so (each, a “Return Date”):
The Model, IMEI and Serial Number of the Loaner Phone are known by FixMyCrack.
From the date on which you receive the Loaner Phone through the Return Date, title to the Loaner Phone shall at all times remain vested in FixMyCrack.
2. The Loaner Phone is offered to you while your device is being serviced by FixMyCrack. FixMyCrack will return your device to you after service has been completed, the Loaner Device has been returned and all outstanding payments are settled.
3. Safeguarding. You must take reasonable and prudent precautions to protect the Loaner Phone against damage, loss, or abuse while in your care, custody, and control. If the Loaner Phone is lost, stolen or damaged, you must notify FixMyCrack immediately. Only FixMyCrack may service the Loaner Phone. You may be held responsible for repair or replacement costs if the Loaner Phone is lost, damaged, or stolen while on loan.
4. Permitted Use. The Loaner Phone is to be used solely by you while your iPhone is being serviced by FixMyCrack (“Service Period”). You must not use the Loaner Phone for any unlawful purpose. You must not give the Loaner Phone to anyone else to use. Only software with valid licenses should be loaded on the Loaner Phone. You must not attempt to “jailbreak” the device.
5. Delete Your Files & Remove Personal Accounts Upon Return of Loaner Phone
You acknowledge that before returning the Loaner Phone, you are responsible for erasing all files and apps, including personal and/or confidential files and data, created & downloaded by you.
Therefore, should you wish to retain any files you created, you should backup your files so that the files can later be transferred to your repaired Customer Phone.
You are responsible for removing and storing any such files prior to returning the Loaner Phone. FixMyCrack is not responsible nor liable for any files or data remaining on, or erased from the Loaner Phone, following its return.
6. FixMyCrack Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, FixMyCrack will not be liable for any consequential, incidental, indirect or direct damages arising out of these terms or the use of the Loaner Phone, including without limitation any losses of or affecting your personal property, software or data.
7. Governing Law. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England.
